Walking the dogs at PAE

Today we walked with Andrea who trains by running with the dogs.  Tomorrow she is running around Las Illinizas - some very big volcano/mountains.  Needless to say it was quite a quick paced walk but good to learn another route.  High school students in Ecuador have to complete a certain number of hours community work in Ecuador so most weekends there are some students there.  This week they were painting the gate and fence of the PAE.

Most routes have been fenced off and there are no rights of way - makes you appreciate the network of footpaths back in the UK.

I walked a lovely natured dog called Ituku who had only one eye.  I later bathed and brushed him and what a lot of hair came off!

Megan was occupied giving some TLC to four puppies whose owner had threatened to throw them in the bin!

I always have to drag her away!
